I started working on the idea of Regiftable Performances in early 2019 as part of my undergraduate dissertation. A Regiftable Performance is a very simple thing, a performance that has been relinquished from ownership and is encouraged to be replicated by anyone who wants to. Their aim is to break down the hierarchy of the art world and to encourage all people as equal art makers, doers, and viewers. The structure borrows from both the world of performance scores and table top role playing games’ rulebooks. These documents can be used as a guide on how to recreate the performances as they were done by me, or as inspiration to make your own distinct artwork of any kind.

P.S.While this project is explicitly designed around
rejecting artist ownership if you do make or reperform a
piece from this project, please credit it as a way to spread
people’s awareness of it.
